Having problems screen? Recently, change the screen resolution in Windows, and is now left blank or black screen, you can not change back? Its frustrating when it happens! It happened to me many times, and I must say its pretty scary that Windows has no built-in mechanism to detect whether the monitor supports a special resolution or refresh rate.

Anyway, if you are already in a situation and all you see is the download BIOS, the logo of Windows, and then the screen just goes out as soon as Windows starts to load, there are two basic ways to return to your original settings.

Connect your computer to a more advanced monitor - one way to see all again just to connect a computer to a monitor that can support a higher resolution. So if you have an old 15-inch monitor, and it can not display 1600 × 1200, connect a monitor to display the new log on Windows, and change the display setting to what it was originally.
Start the computer in Safe Mode - The second way to get back your original settings display to start in safe mode, which is basically loads of Windows, stripped state. Georgias security mode to a lower resolution and therefore allows you to enter and change the settings back.To start in safe mode, you just press and hold F8, when the computer starts to boot. Its usually when you see a logo manufactures and BIOS loads. After you press F8, you will be presented with a set of options, as shown below:

Go ahead and select Safe Mode. If for some reason Safe Mode does not work you can try to select Enable VGA. Enable VGA mode can also be useful in situations when you try to extend your desktop to another monitor or select another monitor to use as the primary monitor.

The problem is that sometimes it can happen that a window sends a signal to a different port than where you have an external monitor is connected, so this will give you a blank screen when it loads. Again, for Windows does not automatically detect that there is no monitor connected and will not return to its original configuration!

Now, when you are in Windows, you can change the resolution or refresh rate, right-click the desktop, choose Properties, and go to the tab Settings. In Windows 7/8, you must select the screen resolution

For screen resolution, move the slider to the left. This will reduce the resolution and allow your monitor properly display Windows. In Windows 7, you simply choose the resolution from the drop-down list. If the refresh rate is too high, click the Advanced or Advanced Settings link, and then click the Monitor tab.

Here, where you can change back to your primary monitor 1 if 2 gave you a blank screen. In addition, you can take to extend your desktop version. Red arrow.
You can also set frequencies to higher count to reduce blink rate for comfort of your eyes. Green arrow.

From the drop-down, select a lower value for the speed of screen updates. Go ahead and restart your computer, as a rule, and it should load fine.

Remember that on Windows, when you change the display settings, always click Apply first. If you simply press OK, you do not get the dialog box shown below which the window will return to the original settings if you do not answer within 15 seconds.

When you click Apply, Windows will change the display on what you choose, and in this case, the screen will go black or blank if it can not support it. However, this dialogue will be and if you do not click on anything, it will return to the original settings! Thus, you do not have to spend time going through safe mode, etc., etc. Any questions, leave a comment. Enjoy!
