Fast Solution to Problem All Removable media drive are missing from Windows Explorer

All Removable media drive are missing from Windows Explorer

When trying to burn some CD/DVD I noticed that my CD/DVD ROM were missing from Windows Explorer, when I inserted a disc it would show up.
When I first install Windows 7 Pro 32bit they were listed without having discs in the drive.
I know media like a thumb
drive would not show  until it was inserted into a USB port.
BTW, they are listed when you click on "Computer"

Hi all,
Sorry for taking sooo long to get back, I have a ____-of-a-time navigating these forums.
Anyway, I just purchased a new Dell Studio XPS w/Windows 7 pro 64 bit and all the bells and whistle.
Guess what? the 64 bit version of windows does the same thing as the 32 bit.
I thimk I will chalk this one as a feature of the OS.
If I find any thing to the contrary I will post back here.

Thanks Bob Eyster Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit
